2019 tri season opens up strong for Team TriNics

Traditionally, the National Age Group Triathlon Series officially kicks off the Philippine triathlon season with it's January leg. For 2019, this was held at ACEA Subic Bay covering distances of super sprint to standard distance.
With thirty one athletes from Team TriNics, Four landed in the top three of their respective categories while some came within the top ten of arguably one of the most competitive races in the country.
Sprint
For the sprint category, Dennis Borbolla (20-29) with a time of 1:34:06 finished at 2nd place while Gerald Asiado (40-44) also crossed the line at 2nd in 1:30:05. Other notable finishers for this distance are:

Roy Emmanuell Agapito (5th) 35-39 1:43:54
Marc Dennis Zoleta (9th) 20-29 1:39:51
Kevin Bryan De Guzman (10th) 16-19 1:41:08
Standard
Kris Dinglasan (19-24) dominated his category with a break away finish 2:20:57 while Kayle Bryan Borlongan (25-29) went third at 2:40:06. This is the first time for both Kayle and Kris to compete at this distance. Breaking into the top ten also were the following:

Joebhet Labuguen (7th) 19-24 2:52:41
Allan Nicolas (7th) 35-39 2:46:29
Guilbert Lenon (8th) 45-49 2:47:29
On top of the strong finishes, the Team is most thankful for a safe race for everyone who joined. A big congratulations also to the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) for another great event.
