New Balance Run On Philippines 2019 concluded last Sunday, February 3 at the CDC Parade grounds. This year’s event was organized by GoClark Sports & Events which saw 2,000 runners crossing the finish line.
As an event by New Balance Philippines, Team TriNics came in with 30 participants across the 8K, 16K, and 25K category. It was a cold start to say the least, which gradually heated up once everyone were able to warm up.
Perhaps the best thing about this race is the course and location which featured slopes and flats with the 25K category even taking on the famous “wall” near Fontana. The fresh air at Clark and ample parking spaces also helped give the event that stress-free feel.
In the end, 4 members of the team made it to the podium with James Estrada and Amiel Buenviaje finishing 1st and 2nd overall in the 8K male category. Jennifer Maula meanwhile, finished at 3rd place for the female 16K with Jerick Motea coming in 2nd in the 16K male category.
More than a race, the event also served as part of the Team’s preparation to upcoming events such as Tinman and Alveo Ironman 70.3.
As streets start to get congested in the metro forcing races to start in such unholy hours, events like this offers a refreshing alternative outside of your usual city races.
Congratulations New Balance Philippines! See you next year!
TriNic’s strong showing will not be possible without the support of our sponsors, such as Unison Bikes, New Balance Philippines, Ceepo Bikes Philippines, Arena Philippines, Compressport Philippines, Twincycle Gear, Bikemate, Oakley Philippines, PSI Custom Sportswear, and TECSI.
