A for team effort!

Bike King Tri 2 is perhaps one of the harder races in the country. This covers distances of 2kms for the swim, 60kms for the bike, and 15kms for the run. What makes this tough is the infamous hilly route of the bike and run parts which consists taking athletes to SCTEX and back up the mountains for the run.

The swim leg started out sunny, then it rained, then the sun showed up again. You don't see that often in a race.

Despite this, the organizers made it a point to allot generous cutoff times throughout the race to encourage athletes to go out of their comfort zones and go beyond the usual standard distance.

This was once seen as a prep race for 70.3 races specifically Cebu but has gradually developed its own identity as a separate race worth preparing for. The event was held at Acea, Subic Bay last July 7, 2019.

This year, Team TriNics was able to get 3rd place overall in the team category. This is computed by getting the top 7 fastest finishers (5 males and 2 females) per team and ranking them based on total time.

Prof Allan and Coach Doods out of the water first while Jojo and Nico emerges from behind.

Sante Barley topped the category with a total time of 26:43:35 followed by Herbalife at 28:02:46. Team TriNics registered a total time of 29:32:46.

Individually, this was made possible with the finishes of Kris Dinglasan (1st AG 3:35), Dennis Borbolla (2nd AG 4:03), Gerald Asiado (4th AG 4:04), Kayle Borlongan (6th AG 4:19), Guilbert Lenon (3rd AG 4:25), Edna Agoo (1st AG 4:30) and Kath Lagunsad (2nd AG 4:32)

The Team hanging out while waiting for the individual and group awards.

Again, congratulations to all finishers who conquered this race. A big congratulations also to Bike King Philippines for staging another well-organized quality race.
